Maison Cote was granted a second register trademark, Sea to Sky Salt

Sea to Sky Salt is officially our register trademark.
I created this wonderful blend of salt in 2008 and it was an immediate success at Farmers Market, Granville Island, Whistler & Victoria Crafts Shows.
I had to protect it, as let put it this way there is a lot of company's paying me lots of high flattery, from south of the boarder to here on my own turf.
Thank-you to all of my supporter true the years
I love my work and I am very great at it!

Sunday July 01 at Araxi Whistler

Nothing memorable, more like all those concept restaurant
After the farmers Market Upper village My Friend Join me for dinner I was still so high from my fantastic experience at whistler sushi village the last Sunday and was hopping to be on the same kind of high from the well acclaim Araxi in Whistler, We arrive Sunday night around 8 PM not table available so we opt for the bar with the same Menu,
we order 3 happy & 2 Main course.

A raw mushroom salad ( look more like a beginner project from home economics)

Green Asparagus Salad 14.50
grilled asparagus with crispy hen egg and shaved parmiggiano-reggiano
grainy mustard and olive oil vinaigrette
(Nice)

Canada Prime Beef Tartare 17.50
tossed with truffle vinaigrette, capers, shallots and garnished with a quail egg
house baked sourdough crostini and gherkins
( really fake truffle oil at this level, it is so wrong)

Griled Lamb Loin 36.50
chickpea puree, charred baby onions, artichokes and crisp pinenut polenta
with romesco sauce and basil oil
( OK, but not spectacular the polenta was the best thing on this plate the Artichoke have lot of hard choking part
the lamb OK but nothing memorable)

Roasted Saddle of Rabbit 29.50
with organic pork cheek and fresh herbs, spicy peppadew peppers
housemade ricotta gnocchi with local baby carrots
(so much pork wrapping around the rabbit you do not taste the delicate flesh it is so salty it is ridiculous, the gnocchi are so tuff they could beat you up in the street very, very deceiving )

We where expecting a great culinary moment and it was not, the home made bread was super store style, the service was done OK I am just not sure if she was sad or shy, but she was OK .
Do not get me wrong it is not bad food but just not memorable it was like the keg,  Milestone or any of those concept restaurant.
not very pricy, 118.00 for the food alone, no alcohol
